Room-by-Room Clean Tracker
Monthly cleaning calendar for tracking which rooms were cleaned each day, built for households managing multiple spaces on a rolling schedule.
The PDF is built on your device from the layout and the text above; nothing is uploaded. If the preview does not display, the download buttons still work.
What this sheet is for
When you are responsible for several rooms — whether in a family home, a shared flat or a small rental — it is easy to clean the same visible spaces repeatedly while others are quietly neglected. This calendar gives you one place to record which room received attention each day, so patterns become obvious and no space is forgotten by the end of the month.
How to use it
At the start of the month, write your highest-priority spaces under Rooms to Prioritise in the sidebar — list specific rooms, not vague intentions. Each day, write the room or rooms you cleaned inside that date's grid cell; a blank cell at month's end tells you that room was skipped. Before or during the month, work through Monthly Supplies Check to confirm consumables are stocked before you need them mid-task. Use the Schedule Reminder box to note any fixed appointments that affect your cleaning days, such as guests arriving or a landlord inspection.
What is printed on the page
“Room-by-Room Clean Tracker” is laid out as grid with sidebar: a 7 × 6 month grid taking two-thirds of the width, with a sidebar of four goal lines, a six-item checklist and a reminder box. Under the title it reads “Log every room's weekly and monthly cleaning tasks across the full month.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Write the room name in each grid cell you clean, not just a tick — you'll spot gaps at a glance when reviewing the month.”.
The checklist items slot holds six entries — “Restock rubber gloves”, “Replace mop head if worn”, “Refill all-purpose spray”, “Buy new scrubbing pads”, “Check vacuum filter / bag” and “Restock bin liners” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label, “Rooms to Prioritise” for the goals heading, “Monthly Supplies Check” for the checklist heading and “Schedule Reminder” for the reminder heading.
Two things about this particular grid with sidebar are settings rather than text, and “Room-by-Room Clean Tracker” has them set like this. Start sunday is off: start the week on Sunday instead of Monday. Reminder box is on: include the reminder box at the foot of the sidebar.
Tips
Use a consistent abbreviation for each room — 'Kit', 'Bath 1', 'Bed 2' — so cells stay readable without cramping.
At the end of each week, scan the grid row and circle any room that appears fewer than once; adjust the coming week accordingly.
Fill in the Rooms to Prioritise sidebar before the month begins, not as you go — it prevents you defaulting to the easiest rooms every time.
The other layouts in this set
“Room-by-Room Clean Tracker” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Monthly Deep-Clean Rotation” uses the classic month grid layout and “Daily Cleaning Log” uses the day list layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
