What this sheet is for

Most households manage daily tidying and weekly surface cleans, but deep cleaning — baseboards, inside appliances, behind furniture, grout lines — tends to slip without a written plan. This sheet gives you a month-at-a-glance grid where you assign specific zones to specific days or weeks, so nothing goes six months without proper attention.

How to use it

Write the month and year in the Month / Year field at the top right. In each date cell, note the room or zone assigned for a deep clean that day — for example, 'Oven interior', 'Bathroom tiles and grout', or 'Bedroom wardrobe'. Use the Deep-Clean Zone Log box below the grid to record which zones were actually completed and any notes on condition. Write products or tools that ran out in Supplies to Restock, and use What to Tackle Next Month to carry forward anything skipped or that needs a follow-up visit.

What is printed on the page

“Monthly Deep-Clean Rotation” is laid out as classic month grid: a full-width 7 × 6 month grid with a date corner in every cell and three labelled boxes across the foot (e.g. key dates, goals, notes). Under the title it reads “Track which rooms and zones get a thorough clean each week this month.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Rotate your deep-clean zones each month so every area gets attention at least once per quarter.”.

The box headings slot holds three entries — “Deep-Clean Zone Log”, “Supplies to Restock” and “What to Tackle Next Month” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label.

Two things about this particular classic month grid are settings rather than text, and “Monthly Deep-Clean Rotation” has them set like this. Start sunday is off: start the week on Sunday instead of Monday. Bottom boxes is on: include the three boxes under the grid (off gives the grid the whole page).

Tips

Divide your home into roughly 20 zones so each one appears on the grid once across a four-week month.

Note the date a zone was last deep-cleaned in the cell so you can judge whether it needs a shorter rotation next month.

Keep the filled sheet for three months to spot which areas consistently get skipped and reschedule them earlier.

The other layouts in this set

“Monthly Deep-Clean Rotation” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Room-by-Room Clean Tracker” uses the grid with sidebar layout and “Daily Cleaning Log” uses the day list layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
