What this sheet is for

Most people start a deep-clean without a plan and run out of time or energy halfway through. This sheet is for the days when you intend to go room by room and finish properly — moving furniture, scrubbing grout, clearing out under the sink. Reach for it the morning of a scheduled deep-clean, or the night before to map out a realistic sequence.

How to use it

Start with Must-finish today: name the one room that cannot wait, one appliance or fixture you are targeting this session, and any task left over from the last clean. Before touching anything, run through the Supplies to check first checklist to confirm you have everything you need. Then fill the Room-by-room schedule column in 30-minute blocks — assign specific rooms or zones to each slot rather than leaving them vague. Use Product notes and observations to record dilution ratios, surfaces that reacted badly to a cleaner, or anything to remember for next time.

What is printed on the page

“Deep-Clean Day Planner” is laid out as time-blocked day: hourly schedule column 6am–9pm on the left; top-three priorities, a to-do checklist and a notes box on the right. Under the title it reads “Schedule and track every room in a single top-to-bottom cleaning day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Clean top to bottom, back to front in every room — this way dust and debris fall onto surfaces you haven't wiped yet.”.

The priority prompts slot holds three entries — “Room that cannot wait:”, “Appliance or fixture to deep-clean:” and “Task skipped last session:” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Cleaning date” for the date label, “Room-by-room schedule” for the schedule heading, “Must-finish today” for the priorities heading, “Supplies to check first” for the todo heading and “Product notes & observations” for the notes heading.

Two things about this particular time-blocked day are settings rather than text, and “Deep-Clean Day Planner” has them set like this. Half hours is on (the opposite of the layout's default): split each hour into two 30-minute rows. Notes box is on: include the notes box under the checklist.

Tips

Assign a hard stop time to each room in the schedule column before you begin — overrunning one room derails the whole day.

Write the cleaner name and dilution ratio in the notes box so you can mix accurately without re-reading the bottle each time.

Mark skipped tasks in the schedule column with a small arrow so they transfer automatically to next session's top priority line.

The other layouts in this set

“Deep-Clean Day Planner” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Daily Room Reset Planner” uses the three sections layout and “Weekly Zone Clean Planner” uses the focus page layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
