Daily Cleaning Log
Day-by-day cleaning log for one month, helping anyone track which tasks were completed and spot gaps in their routine.
The PDF is built on your device from the layout and the text above; nothing is uploaded. If the preview does not display, the download buttons still work.
What this sheet is for
This sheet is for anyone who wants a simple written record of what cleaning they actually did — not what they planned to do. Reach for it when you suspect certain tasks are being skipped week after week, when you are handing off housekeeping to another person in the household, or when you are trying to build a consistent daily habit from scratch.
How to use it
Write the month and year in the 'Month / Year' field at the top right. In the 'One habit to build this month' box, name a single cleaning behaviour you want to make automatic — keeping it to one thing improves follow-through. Each day, use the numbered line for that date to note the main task or area you cleaned, such as 'kitchen floor, hob' or 'bathroom sink, mirror'. The heavier rules every seven days mark the end of each week, giving you a natural pause to scan back. At the end of the month, answer both 'Month-End Review' prompts in writing.
What is printed on the page
“Daily Cleaning Log” is laid out as day list: days 1–31 as two columns of numbered writing lines, a 'focus this month' box at the top and a two-prompt review at the bottom. Under the title it reads “Record every cleaning task you complete, day by day, for one month.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Wipe down high-touch surfaces (light switches, door handles, taps) every day, even on light-task days.”.
The review prompts slot holds two entries — “Which days did you skip, and what got in the way?” and “What one task will you do more consistently next month?” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label, “One habit to build this month” for the focus prompt, “Task done · area cleaned” for the column hint and “Month-End Review” for the review heading.
Two things about this particular day list are settings rather than text, and “Daily Cleaning Log” has them set like this. Review box is on: include the review box at the bottom. Weekly dividers is on (the opposite of the layout's default): draw a heavier rule every seven days.
Tips
Use a consistent shorthand — 'K' for kitchen, 'B' for bathroom — so entries stay brief and lines do not run over.
If you missed a day, write 'skipped' rather than leaving it blank; patterns in those entries are the most useful data.
Review the previous month's log before writing your new habit focus, so your goal responds to real evidence from your home.
The other layouts in this set
“Daily Cleaning Log” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Monthly Deep-Clean Rotation” uses the classic month grid layout and “Room-by-Room Clean Tracker” uses the grid with sidebar layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
