What this sheet is for

Zone cleaning splits your home into sections — kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, floors — and dedicates one weekday to each. This sheet keeps you focused on a single zone per day so tasks never pile up into one overwhelming session. Reach for it the night before to plan which zone you are tackling and which optional tasks fit the time you have.

How to use it

Write the zone name in the 'Today's zone to clean completely' focus box at the top. Under 'Must do today', list the three tasks in that zone you cannot skip — for example, scrubbing the hob, cleaning the toilet, or changing bed linen. Under 'Do if time allows', tick up to six extra tasks such as wiping skirting boards or descaling the showerhead. At the end of the day, run through the five 'Daily non-negotiables' habits that apply every day regardless of zone. Use 'Supplies and reminders' to note any products you need to restock or rooms that need attention next time.

What is printed on the page

“Weekly Zone Clean Planner” is laid out as focus page: a large single-focus box across the top, three numbered must-dos and six could-do checkboxes on the left, a five-habit checklist and a notes area on the right. Under the title it reads “Plan and track your assigned cleaning zone for one full day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Wipe surfaces before you vacuum or sweep — dust and crumbs fall down, so floors are always the last step.”.

The habit labels slot holds five entries — “Dishes cleared & washed”, “Bins checked & emptied”, “Surfaces wiped down”, “Floors swept or vacuumed” and “Cleaning kit put away” — so the sheet is already filled in for cleaning rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Date / Zone Day” for the date label, “Today's zone to clean completely:” for the focus prompt, “Must do today” for the must heading, “Do if time allows” for the could heading, “Daily non-negotiables” for the habits heading and “Supplies & reminders” for the notes heading.

Two things about this particular focus page are settings rather than text, and “Weekly Zone Clean Planner” has them set like this. Habits row is on: include the five-habit checklist. Ruled notes is on: rule the notes area with writing lines instead of leaving it blank.

Tips

Write tomorrow's zone in the notes section tonight so you can gather supplies or pre-soak anything in advance.

Limit must-dos to tasks that genuinely cannot wait; keep optional tasks realistic for a single session of your usual length.

If a zone takes less time than expected, pull one task from next zone's could-do list rather than skipping it entirely.

The other layouts in this set

“Weekly Zone Clean Planner” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Deep-Clean Day Planner” uses the time-blocked day layout and “Daily Room Reset Planner” uses the three sections layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
