What this sheet is for
Some months the electricity bill is double what you expected. Others, the water bill barely moves. This sheet is for the moment a statement lands — paper or digital — and you want to write down the exact amount against the day it arrived or the day it is due. By the end of the month every figure is in one place, ready to compare against what you budgeted.
How to use it
At the top, write your budgeted total for all bills in the 'Total bills budgeted this month' box before the month begins. As each statement arrives, find its due date in the day list and write the bill name and the exact amount on that line using the 'Bill name · amount due' format shown faintly over the columns. The heavier rules every seven days help you see which bills cluster in a particular week. At month end, use the 'End-of-Month Check' box to compare what you actually paid against your budget, and to note any bill whose amount shifted significantly.
What is printed on the page
“Bill Amounts Due This Month” is laid out as day list: days 1–31 as two columns of numbered writing lines, a 'focus this month' box at the top and a two-prompt review at the bottom. Under the title it reads “Write each bill's exact amount as the statement arrives, day by day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “If a bill amount changes from last month, circle it so you can investigate before paying.”.
The review prompts slot holds two entries — “Actual total paid vs. budgeted amount — difference:” and “Which bill changed most from last month, and why:” — so the sheet is already filled in for bills rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label, “Total bills budgeted this month” for the focus prompt, “Bill name · amount due” for the column hint and “End-of-Month Check” for the review heading.
Two things about this particular day list are settings rather than text, and “Bill Amounts Due This Month” has them set like this. Review box is on: include the review box at the bottom. Weekly dividers is on (the opposite of the layout's default): draw a heavier rule every seven days.
Tips
Write the statement amount, not last month's estimate — the whole point is capturing the real figure as it arrives.
If two bills share a due date, stack them on the same line separated by a slash, then total them in the margin.
Use the budgeted-total box at the top to set a ceiling; subtract each amount as you add it to stay aware of remaining headroom.
The other layouts in this set
“Bill Amounts Due This Month” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Monthly Bill Due Date Tracker” uses the classic month grid layout and “Monthly Bill Payment Log” uses the grid with sidebar layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
