What this sheet is for
This sheet is for the days when an exam is close and time needs to be allocated precisely across subjects. Reach for it the evening before a heavy revision day or first thing in the morning when you know you have six or more hours to fill and cannot afford to drift between tasks without a clear plan guiding each hour.
How to use it
Start with Today's top 3 subjects — write the subject name and the exact chapter or topic, not just the subject alone. Then scan the Revision timetable column, which runs from 6 am to 9 pm in 30-minute rows, and block out your study sessions, meals, and breaks before anything else fills the day. Move to Tasks to complete today and list specific outputs: a past paper timed under exam conditions, a set of flashcards, a summary page. Use Questions and gaps to revisit to capture anything that trips you up mid-session, so you do not lose momentum stopping to chase it immediately.
What is printed on the page
“Exam Revision Day Planner” is laid out as time-blocked day: hourly schedule column 6am–9pm on the left; top-three priorities, a to-do checklist and a notes box on the right. Under the title it reads “Plan every study block, subject, and break for one full revision day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “After each block, note one thing you understood well and one thing still unclear — review the unclear point first tomorrow.”.
The priority prompts slot holds three entries — “Subject + specific topic/chapter”, “Past paper or practice questions” and “Weakest area — focus here first” — so the sheet is already filled in for study rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Exam date” for the date label, “Revision timetable” for the schedule heading, “Today's top 3 subjects” for the priorities heading, “Tasks to complete today” for the todo heading and “Questions & gaps to revisit” for the notes heading.
Two things about this particular time-blocked day are settings rather than text, and “Exam Revision Day Planner” has them set like this. Half hours is on (the opposite of the layout's default): split each hour into two 30-minute rows. Notes box is on: include the notes box under the checklist.
Tips
Write the page range or question numbers next to each timetable block so you know exactly when a session is finished.
Cap each unbroken study block at 90 minutes in the timetable; leave at least a 15-minute gap before the next subject.
If a task stays unchecked at the end of the day, carry it to tomorrow's sheet immediately rather than relying on memory.
The other layouts in this set
“Exam Revision Day Planner” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Assignment Crunch Day” uses the three sections layout and “Deep Work Study Day” uses the focus page layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
