What this sheet is for
This sheet is for students who want to build a reliable study routine and see, at a glance, where their habits are holding and where they are slipping. It suits anyone preparing for exams, catching up on coursework, or trying to replace scattered sessions with consistent daily practice. Print one sheet per month and keep it on your desk or inside your planner.
How to use it
Write the month and year at the top right. Each morning or evening, tick the boxes in the numbered day columns for every Study Habit you completed. The ten rows cover the core behaviours that research links to effective learning — from reviewing notes and active recall through to sleep. At the end of the month, count each row's ticks and record the total under Days ✓. Use the Monthly Notes and Observations box to log exam dates that fell in the month, subjects that needed more time, or habits you want to adjust for next month.
What is printed on the page
“Daily Study Habit Tracker” is laid out as 30-day grid: ten labelled habit rows against 31 numbered day columns of tick boxes, an optional totals column, and a notes box at the foot. Under the title it reads “Track 10 core study habits every day for one full month.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Missing two days in a row is the warning sign — missing three becomes a new habit. Catch the gap early.”.
The habit labels slot holds ten entries — “Reviewed yesterday's notes”, “Completed today's reading”, “Practiced active recall”, “Worked on assignment” and “No phone during study” and five more — so the sheet is already filled in for study rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label, “Study Habit” for the habits heading, “Days ✓” for the total heading and “Monthly Notes & Observations” for the notes heading.
Two things about this particular 30-day grid are settings rather than text, and “Daily Study Habit Tracker” has them set like this. Totals column is on: add a totals column at the right of the grid. Notes box is on: include the notes box at the foot.
Tips
Tick boxes at the same time each evening — end-of-day review takes under two minutes and prevents forgotten days.
If a row total falls below 18 at month end, treat that habit as a priority target for the following month.
Write upcoming exam dates in the Notes box at the start of the month so you can see which weeks need the most consistent ticking.
The other layouts in this set
“Daily Study Habit Tracker” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Exam Revision Week Tracker” uses the weekly grid layout and “Active Recall Practice Tracker” uses the single habit layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
