Each sheet focuses on a distinct stage and purpose, so most families will use all three at different points.

Choosing between them

Print the Newborn Hospital Bag Checklist several weeks before your due date and work through it across multiple packing sessions. Once the baby is home, switch to the Baby 6-Week Check Prep sheet in the days leading up to that appointment — it is most useful if you have been logging feeds and nappy output already. Start the Baby First-Year Vaccines Checklist at birth and keep it somewhere accessible throughout the year, adding the date each time a vaccine is given so you have a single complete record for your own files.

What each sheet contains

“Newborn Hospital Bag Checklist” is the single column layout — three headed sections of seven pre-filled checkbox items each down one column, optional blank extra lines per section, and a notes box at the foot. Its section 1 items run to seven entries, starting with “Maternity notes / antenatal records”, “Birth plan (2 printed copies)” and “Loose front-opening nightgown or pyjamas”.

“Baby 6-Week Check Prep” is the two columns layout — four headed sections of eight pre-filled checkbox items each, two sections per column, with a notes box across the foot. Its section 1 items run to eight entries, starting with “Average feeds per 24 hours noted”, “Breast / formula / mix confirmed” and “Longest gap between feeds recorded”.

“Baby First-Year Vaccines Checklist” is the phased timeline layout — four time-phased sections (e.g. '8 weeks before', 'Day of') of six pre-filled items each, with an optional done-date column on the right. Its phase 1 items run to six entries, starting with “Hepatitis B — dose 1 (given in hospital or at birth visit)”, “Vitamin K injection — confirm given before discharge” and “Newborn hearing screen — result recorded in red book / health record”.

Printing

Each of the three baby Checklist sheets downloads as a PDF in US Letter or A4 from its own page, laid out in black and white so it prints on any home or office printer. Nothing on the page is carried by colour, the fields are sized for handwriting, and the same layout can be refilled with your own labels in the generator.
