What this sheet is for
This sheet is for the week when your calendar has filled up with other people's needs and your own have slipped to the bottom. It gives you a structured place to decide — before the week begins — where your limits are, which personal habits are non-negotiable, and what you are willing to decline. It works best when you fill it in on Sunday evening or Monday morning, before the first request lands.
How to use it
Start at 'This week I will protect' and write one specific boundary, one daily habit you refuse to skip, and one type of request you will decline. Move to the day boxes and use the hint line — Boundary, Recharge block, Outdoors — to jot what each looks like on that particular day: a specific time you go offline, a walk length, a phrase you will use when asked to take on extra work. At the week's end, answer both prompts in the 'End-of-week check-in' box: name what actually held and identify the single biggest energy drain so you can plan around it next time.
What is printed on the page
“Boundaries & Recharge Week” is laid out as day boxes with goals: three goal lines across the top, seven boxed days in a 4 + 3 grid with a faint hint in each, and a two-prompt review box at the bottom. Under the title it reads “Plan your limits, rest blocks, and personal time day by day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Saying no to one thing this week creates space for something on this page. Note what you protected.”.
The goal prompts slot holds three entries — “One boundary I will hold”, “One habit I will not skip” and “One thing I will say no to” — so the sheet is already filled in for self care rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The review prompts slot holds two entries — “Which boundary held, and what made it possible?” and “What drained me most, and how will I adjust next week?” — so the sheet is already filled in for self care rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Week of” for the week label, “This week I will protect” for the goals heading, “Boundary · Recharge block · Outdoors” for the cell hint and “End-of-week check-in” for the review heading.
Two things about this particular day boxes with goals are settings rather than text, and “Boundaries & Recharge Week” has them set like this. Start sunday is off: start the week on Sunday instead of Monday. Review box is on: include the review box at the bottom.
Tips
Write your recharge block as a clock time, not a vague intention — '19:00–20:00, no phone' is a plan.
If a boundary breaks mid-week, note it in that day's box rather than leaving it blank; patterns become visible.
Use the outdoors line even for ten minutes; brief natural light exposure has a measurable effect on evening fatigue.
The other layouts in this set
“Boundaries & Recharge Week” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Daily Rest & Recovery Week” uses the seven-row week layout and “Small Daily Self-Care Week” uses the weekly tracker table layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
