What this sheet is for

This sheet is for anyone following a structured strength training programme who wants a single, low-friction way to see whether the daily habits that drive progress are actually happening. It works best at the start of a new training block, when consistency matters more than any single session, and when you suspect gaps in sleep, nutrition, or recovery are holding your lifts back.

How to use it

Write the current month in the Month / Year field at the top right. Each row under Daily Habit covers one specific behaviour — from completing the workout itself down to writing post-session notes. At the end of each day, tick every box that applies. When the month ends, count the ticks in each row and enter the total in the Days column on the right. Use the Monthly notes and observations box at the foot to record patterns: which habits were hardest to maintain, how your lifts trended, and what you want to adjust next month.

What is printed on the page

“Strength Training Habit Tracker” is laid out as 30-day grid: ten labelled habit rows against 31 numbered day columns of tick boxes, an optional totals column, and a notes box at the foot. Under the title it reads “Track 10 daily training habits across 30 days to build consistent strength.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Missing one day is normal. Missing two in a row is the pattern to break — note why in the box below.”.

The habit labels slot holds ten entries — “Completed workout”, “Hit protein target”, “8 hrs sleep”, “Mobility / stretching” and “Logged weights used” and five more — so the sheet is already filled in for fitness rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.

The remaining labels on the page are “Month / Year” for the month label, “Daily Habit” for the habits heading, “Days” for the total heading and “Monthly notes & observations” for the notes heading.

Two things about this particular 30-day grid are settings rather than text, and “Strength Training Habit Tracker” has them set like this. Totals column is on: add a totals column at the right of the grid. Notes box is on: include the notes box at the foot.

Tips

Tick boxes immediately after training while details are fresh — waiting until bedtime inflates your recall of a good session.

If your Days total for Progressive Overload is below 12, review your programme before adding more training days.

Use the notes box to record one-rep-max attempts or bodyweight changes so the sheet doubles as a brief monthly log.

The other layouts in this set

“Strength Training Habit Tracker” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Morning Cardio Week Tracker” uses the weekly grid layout and “Daily Step Count Habit” uses the single habit layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
