Baby Feed & Sleep Planner
A day-by-day feed and sleep planner for parents logging breast or bottle feeds, nap times and nappy changes across three time blocks.
The PDF is built on your device from the layout and the text above; nothing is uploaded. If the preview does not display, the download buttons still work.
What this sheet is for
When you are in the early weeks with a baby, feeds and naps blur together. This planner gives structure to a single day by splitting it into three time windows — morning, afternoon, and evening into night — so you can write down what happened as it happens, rather than trying to reconstruct it later from memory or a phone screen at 3 am.
How to use it
Start at the top of Morning (6 am – 12 pm) and jot each feed — breast or bottle, which side, and volume in mL or oz — alongside any nappy changes and nap start and end times. Carry the same detail into Afternoon (12 pm – 6 pm), adding wake-window notes or solid foods if you have started weaning. Use Evening and Night (6 pm – 6 am) for the bedtime feed and any overnight wakes. Before you finish, tick off the Daily Essentials Check strip — eight small but easy-to-forget tasks — then answer the reflection prompt in two lines to close the day.
What is printed on the page
“Baby Feed & Sleep Planner” is laid out as three sections: three stacked, labelled sections of checkbox lines (e.g. morning, midday, evening), a tick-off tracker strip of eight items and a two-line reflection at the foot. Under the title it reads “Track every feed, nap and nappy change through one full day.”, and the line at the foot of the page says “Note the time at the start of each feed, not the end — this helps you spot hunger patterns faster.”.
The section headings slot holds three entries — “Morning (6 am – 12 pm)”, “Afternoon (12 pm – 6 pm)” and “Evening & Night (6 pm – 6 am)” — so the sheet is already filled in for baby rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The section hints slot holds three entries — “Log feeds (breast/bottle, L/R side, volume mL/oz), naps and nappy changes.”, “Note wake windows, any solids if weaning, and afternoon nap length.” and “Record bedtime feed, overnight wakes, and total night-sleep hours.” — so the sheet is already filled in for baby rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The tracker items slot holds eight entries — “Vitamin D”, “Nappy cream”, “Wipes stocked”, “Formula made” and “Breast pump” and three more — so the sheet is already filled in for baby rather than left as blank rows to label yourself.
The remaining labels on the page are “Date / Age” for the date label, “Daily Essentials Check” for the tracker heading and “What worked well today, and what would you change tomorrow?” for the reflection prompt.
Two things about this particular three sections are settings rather than text, and “Baby Feed & Sleep Planner” has them set like this. Tracker strip is on: include the eight-item tick-off strip. Reflection lines is on: include the two-line reflection at the foot.
Tips
Write nap times as a range, e.g. 09:15–10:00, so you can calculate total daytime sleep at a glance.
If breastfeeding, circle L or R for each feed; this helps avoid engorgement when feeds get chaotic overnight.
Use the reflection line to flag anything for the health visitor or paediatrician — one sentence is enough.
The other layouts in this set
“Baby Feed & Sleep Planner” is one of three sheets in this set, each a different fixed layout filled for the same topic. “Newborn Daily Care Log” uses the time-blocked day layout and “Baby Milestone Day Planner” uses the focus page layout. Pick by how you work: the layout decides how much you write and where, not what the sheet is about.
